  • Things have been calmly returning to its cycle, just as the vegetables sprout in the garden and trees bloom with the sunlight that has been baffling us lately, all of the sudden. It does make Spring, a more and more welcoming sensation, and I’m looking forward to that as I put on my linen apron. I haven’t been around Instagram much, therefore, I was surprised by the commotion that has been going on here with so many new faces, comments and sharing.   • Sometimes I sit by this window with no purpose other than to look outside to all that passes by. It’s like a moving script on a super8 or a poem that is perused and now known by heart. I pretend to read my correspondence. To indulge in a cake. But really, it’s just an excuse to applaud the trifles of this place. The lady carrying the latest crops from the local farm, the old man with his wooden cane walking the dogs. Children playing catch and cats sitting on the windowsill bathing and yawning. It all reveals itself in a very timely fashion. Frame by frame.   • Story update: I did not get the house. If you are in tune with my last post, then I regret to tell you, it didn’t work out. What do I take from this? It wasn’t meant to be, and there’s no need to fret around. The truth is, if you haven’t tried, you haven’t lived, right? I regret nothing, and am very much proud to have done it all to make it real.   • So, I’ve been exchanging letters with my dream-home owner. He decided to put his house on sale, and although I knew it was a (really!) long shot, I got hold of a pen and decided to do it anyway - the old-fashioned way. Call me crazy, but I am forever the optimist. Thus, one morning such as this, I embedded myself of all the things that cannot be named, that impetus that shape your understanding of life and wrote him our visions, our dreams, the way our old chair fits perfectly in that small corner by the fireplace, and how the light showered the bathroom. A house to live fully, not a house of trivial tarries, I wondered. And then I named a price that was 25% lower than listed. 🙈🤭 A part of me still dreams that virtuous people exist, and money is just an unpleasant way of labeling things. Am I crazy to believe in such a thing?   • I’ve walked that shore of a lake a thousand times, always relegating my eyes to the horizon and treetops a few meters above my mind. The waterline meandered slightly and peacefully, between those rocks and soft pebbled dominion, never inclined to make a wave or a sussurous sound of any kind, for that matter. You could name the discovery of this small entryway a result of a fortuitous hapchance. You see, if it weren’t for this peculiar family of new born ducklings, making its way to the water in a rather funny ensemble, I would never have guessed that over that corner was this pastoral portrait waiting.   • How perennial. Overlooking that window, spattering petals on the mantle, on the carpet, all over the flooring. Testament of weeks that dissolve faster than I care to comprehend, to grasp and hold with contentment. My mind has been too dispersed to focus, multitasking is, after all, something I am not very familiar, I gather.
